With the SMS Auto-Responder facility, an incoming text message is processed by our in-house auto-responder service and an immediate response message is returned to the mobile without any direct involvement on the subscriber's part.

The response message can vary according to the time and date, and/or according to a keyword topic at the start of the incoming message. A subscriber may create as many topics as they wish and may update them as often as they wish, by email, at any time of the day or night.

The ability to create and maintain topics allows the subscriber to offer multiple pages of information that the sender can select from by just keying the topic name at the start of their text message. Normally, the auto-responder returns information to any mobile that requests it.

Optionally, the Closed User Group facility is available to only return the information to specifically named mobiles; any messages from other mobiles are sent a reject message that may invite them to subscribe and join the group. This facility is useful if a subscriber has information that they wish to charge for, either on a subscription basis or per topic of information sent.

All aspects of the auto-responder service are controlled directly by the subscriber by email, including the creation and maintenance of topics, the maintenance of closed user groups and the downloading of the database of mobile numbers that have been responded to.
