Each TEXT-back subscriber is allocated a unique mobile number to which customers, prospects, staff etc are able to send text messages. The text messages are received at the TEXT-back Message Centre where they are processed in a variety of ways, depending on requirements, allowing tailored messages or real-time data to be sent back to the originating mobile within seconds.

TEXT-back can even link to an existing website to retrieve data for returning as the response SMS message. Because TEXT-back uses the SMS facility, response times are measured in seconds and, unlike WAP-based services, the cost is low and predictable. Subscribers to the TEXT-back Gold service are not charged for incoming messages.
